Ear Candling, also known as Coning or Funnelling, has been around for centuries. It can be traced back to ancient times when the Greeks and Egyptians used it as a remedy to improve clarity and focus. Ear Candling was also practised in cultures as diverse as the Tibetan Monks and ancient Mayans. Our own Native Indians used reeds from the riverbanks to relieve head congestion and for candling purposes. Diaries translated from native dialects describe the practice as being widely used on the African continent.
Now we have assumed this role and thousands of people have found relief from a wide assortment of problems from tinnitus to chronic sinus infections.
This process may be safely used to lessen sinus pressure, ringing and fluid and in many cases may enhance hearing.
Debris that has built up over the years can be removed in your first few candling sessions. Many adults use this technique as a regular part of their overall health program. Imagine what regular sessions could do for you!
Ear Candling can be done as often as you feel it is needed. Most people, when having their ears candled for the first time, will have it done 2 or 3 times in the first month. After that, once a month is usually adequate.
Ear Candling should not replace medical treatment. There are those of you who should not participate in ear candling, due to any history of damage to the eardrum, ear tubes, congenital hearing loss, ankylosis of the stapes, acute mastoiditis, or recent surgical procedures to the ear.
While many find ear candling to be an effective procedure, everyone is different and results cannot be guaranteed.
If you suspect you have an inner ear infection, we recommend you see a doctor. Ear Candling is not intended to replace medical treatment.
All age groups may enjoy this procedure, and many report that the experience is surprisingly relaxing and soothing. The process is recommended for those of you who:
work outdoors or in a dusty environment
are outdoor sports enthusiasts
work in or around water-oriented activities
live or work with animals
have chronic sinus problems, headaches or sore throats
"ringing" or plugged (tinnitus) sensation
are elderly and experience a sense of hearing loss
are children and are plagued with perpetual earaches or infections
If you have come to to the end of the road with Candida yeast or fungus infestations, ear infections, ear pains, or hearing loss, and if nutritional approaches are not helping you like they should, this is a breakthrough for you.
